1. • Residency Duration and Point Maintenance:
     • At least 3 years stay in Japan with 70 or 75 HSP points at both the start and current period.
     • At least 1 year stay in Japan with 80 or more HSP points at both the start and current period.

1. • Confirmation of HSP Points:
     • For academics and researchers (HSP 1a).
     • For company employees and technicians (HSP 1b).

1. • Travel Restrictions:
     • No absence from Japan for more than 3 months at any single time during the specified 1 or 3-year period.
     • Total days out of Japan not exceeding 100 days within any given year during the same period.

1. • Financial Compliance:
     • Timely payment of income tax, residence tax, and other taxes (both for the applicant and spouse).
     • No additional income sources apart from the main job.
     • Consistent and timely payments of national and employee pensions (both for the applicant and spouse).
     • Health insurance payments made on time (either through account deductions or company health insurance).

1. 1. Income Requirements:
      • Annual income of at least 3 million yen, with an addition of approximately 800,000 yen for each dependent.

1. • Employment Stability:
     • No job changes within the past year.

1. • Legal Compliance:
     • No criminal penalties in Japan, including imprisonment, confinement, or fines (traffic violations included).
     • Traffic violations limited to 5 or fewer in the last 5 years and less than 4 in the past 2 years.

• Guarantor Availability:
  • A Japanese national or permanent resident with a stable income to act as a guarantor.
