Although I don’t have a diplomatic or an official passport, and while I have been working for the Embassy for more than 10 years, I was under an official / during mission visa which I wanted to change into a residence permit that will allow me to have a juminhyo or a certificate of residence in order to pay my taxes and pension.

I am not planning to change my job at the moment and would like to continue at my actual work.

法務省への申請から在留資格許可までどのくらいの時間がかかりましたか？

 

The procedure was extremely smooth. Mr. Murai was available all the time I needed to consult him.

It took around 2 months from the day of consultation and 1 month and a half from the day of document submission to the day I got my Highly Skilled Professional identification card of 5 years. 

I highly recommend Mr. Murai to take care of changing you official / during mission visa / residence permit if you wish to start paying your taxes and pension. He is the right person to take care of your problem.
